Get to know me

I am a college graduate from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic and Interactive Design. In my first couple of years of college, I was trying to find something in my graphic design classes about which I was most passionate. I eventually realized that my niche lies in package design, logo design, and vector drawing.

My Process

When I am working on a project, I will first do some brainstorming and sketch different ideas to see which approach I like the most. Usually, I end up going for a more illustrative approach, involving putting cutesy faces on vector drawings of food or drawing in a generally colorful and cartoony art style. When it comes to choosing a color palette for a design, I will normally go onto either Coolors.com to get a general idea for a fun color palette to go with my illustrative style, or I will color pick from an existing image from a show or a type of food on which I base my design.

My vision

I would love to work for people who connect with, and can relate to, my designs. I enjoy incorporating the things I am most passionate about into my designs for usable items, such as phone cases, T-Shirts, posters, and other similar merchandise. It would be especially gratifying to me if my work would inspire others to express their own interests with confidence and passion in their heart.

My Strengths

I have the most experience using Adobe products for my designs, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dimension. I am also quite familiar using Figma as a place to plan out certain projects, especially branding for a logo. Over the years at Youngstown State, I have developed my digital illustration/vector drawing skills while working in Illustrator, as well as experimenting with handwritten typography. I always keep a consistent theme and art style with my illustration, typography, and color palettes depending on the type of project I am working on.
